Unscathed he was, drenched in blood
Lying naked in someone’s arms, unashamed
Unapologetic to the labour he had inflicted
Yet, greeted wholeheartedly by all.
But, he quickly learnt that’s not the way to live
He must be sorry for his wrong deeds
So he begs for excuse for that fortuitous sneeze,
And smiles contently after he has hurt you deep.
The blood is now washed away,
He is neatly clad in a suit, his soul bruised,
Scruples tainted and nous maligned.
Questioned by his inner voice occasionally
Feels the weight and trains his alter ego
Gets himself unpoked, frees himself from the guilt
Marches on, unweathered, unremorsed.
Awesome...keep up the good work...
